A national disgrace or 6 disgraces

Today is the 11th month anniversary of the January 6 attack on our Capitol (It’s only the beginning of the Capitol terror hunt and Insurrection based on a lie.) Let’s call that disgrace #1.

Let’s move on to disgrace #2. Within hours of the insurrection, 8 Republican Senators and 139 Republican House members agreed with the terrorists that votes should be overturned. (see Republicans oppose democracy and the references in that post).

We had recently endured a terror attack on the US Capitol. There was extreme violence (see disgrace 1 and this video.) The pressing questions were how did this happen and what can we do to prevent a repeat. There were calls for a bipartisan Commission similar to the 9/11 Commission. The House passed a bill to do that over the objection of 175 Republicans. Disgrace #3.

The Republicans in the Senate blocked that with a filibuster. Disgrace #3.

The House was able to form a select committee over Republican objections. Disgrace #5.

This raises the question: Is the Republican party disgrace #6?
