Armed Protest and Law

Why is this allowed? Protests against state order to stay-at-home or a lockdown are being protested in many states. Of course protest is our right and a good thing when the people disagree with the government. But if is accompanied by heavy enough arms to terrify other citizens, is it a good thing?

In the past few weeks we have seen many protests, some of them armed with protesters carrying threatening signs. In a Michigan protest, they actually occupied the state capital with their armaments. The picture above is from that last article.

In my state of Pennsylvania, armed protesters also oppose the governors order.

Are these protest with arms legal? Are they allowed to occupy public buildings? If not, should armed protesters be arrested? Does it matter if they threaten violence?

If it is all legal, should our legislators rethink our gun laws?
