President Trump shares the truth and avoids the biased media

I’m glad that President Trump shares the truth and avoids the biased media.

After watching the news with thousands of people around the county protesting President Trump’s immigration order and the detention of legal residents, legal immigrants, and visa holders I was not surprised to hear about his attempt to blame the problem on airline computer problems.

In his words on Twitter “Big problems at airports were caused by Delta computer outage,…..”

I guess I just watched the biased media which focused on the “anti-Trump ban” signs rather than the “anti-computer outage” and anti-airline signs.

I’m glad President Trump has Twitter to share the real truth with us

  1. President Trump said a lot of those people were from the problem. Yes there were many stopped because of his action but all were taken care of. I am with Trump if he would have stated a date to end illegal in, I can only imagine how manyterrorists would have made the move to come in. We need our country back and safe. President Trump is not against Muslims and this will last only 3 months. Other Democratic presidents have done the same and no demonstrations. I thank God Hillary was not elected although I would like to see a woman president. I didn’t vote for Obama either time he ran, as did many others but we didn’t demonstrate. I ask show respect for our president. Give him a chance.

  2. Is there any evidence that our country is having terrorism from refugees or the people from countries on the banned list? I can think of many other countries that have actually sent terrorists to the US.

I agree there should not have been a long lead time (for example if he said that immigration procedures would be tightened as of January 31). That would have been an invitation to terrorists just to come before that date. But the order could have been kept secret while it was being vetted at the higher levels of government and then released to ICE a few hours before the effective time to give time to clarify. I think if the President thought our vetting procedures were inadequate, he should have focused on those. I also think that we probably don’t know the whole story but from what I have heard this was done very poorly.

    Also why block legal residents?

I find it hard to believe that parts of this order are not directed against Muslims. The order does specify that we are to give preference to minority religions and all the countries specified have Muslim majorities. It is true that not all (or even most) Muslim-majority are named in this order. But I don’t think that excuses a religious preference in some cases.

As I said on facebook, I do not think history shows that other Presidents have enacted the same ban.

I was not a big fan of Hillary. I believe she had some problems but was a much more reasonable choice in the election.

I did vote for Obama and do recall see his legitimacy questioned and many Republicans as well as Donald Trump insisting he was not born in the US. There were also quite a few crude and racial remarks circulating. I do think that you had anything to do with this but I was wondering who the “we” is.

I believe in respecting the President but also believe that when we disagree with what our government is doing or proposing, we should speak out as loudly as we can.
